Harajuku Lovers Handbags

Harajuku Lovers are the inspiration of Gwen Stafani and are her Japanese back up dancers. The Japanese theme was used in these handbags whose line was first released in 2005. Every season Harajuku Lovers release a new line of handbags and stationery. We feature the handbags and they are young, playful and sexy. What's more is they're great value so if you want the upfront styles then Harajuku Lovers handbags are for you.

Harajuku Lovers - the brand

Harajuku Lovers logo

Gwen Stefani has always had an eye for fashion and trends and this has really come out when she went solo from her band "No Doubt" who had a worldwide smash with the hit "Don't Speak". Her solo career started in 2004 and it wasn't until 2005 that we were introduced to her entourage and back up dancers the Harajuku Lovers. Everywhere she went she would be photographed with them. They had a certain style with the handbags and clothing and this was soon marketed to the world as Harajuku Lovers handbags, stationery and scents.

Harajuku Lovers handbags are very reasonably priced and are targeted to a younger market. The designs are playful, cool and sexy and all have a Japanese element to them which is the inspiration Gwen felt in 2005. The designs on the side of the bags are often the Harajuku Lovers themselves or prints heavily inspired by them. They're names are Love, Angel, Music, and Baby and there were scents released with each of the namesakes. The handbags are visually appealing and do give a sense of style you don't see elsewhere.

The Harajuku Lovers brand is not something that will be around for ever we think. However they have given a much needed boost to styles of handbags with prints you don't often see they are very unique. Gwen Stafani has yet to release an album for a while now especially as she's just had children and who knows if she will continue the Harajuku Lovers next time she does release new music. However we think Harajuku Lovers handbags are great to see and at the price they're still an essential choice for Summer style.
